The ACT Tradies Meteors have defeated the SA Scorpions by eight wickets in the Women's Twenty20 in Adelaide on Friday.
Kris Britt was the star of the Meteors chase with a quick fire 48 off 45 balls as the visitors easily hunted down the target of 105 with 2-107 from under 16 overs.
The Scorpions started well after electing to bat with openers Alicia Dean and Beth Morgan combining for a 46-run opening partnership.
But after both were stumped by Laura Wright in quick succession the Scorpions middle order lost their way.
Aside from Tahlia McGrath (20), the Scorpions managed to add only 58 runs for the loss of five more wickets to close out their 20 overs with 6-104.
Sally Moylan (3-23) and Kate Owen (2-18) did most of the damage for the Meteors from their respective four-over stints.
In reply, the Meteors chase started in earnest with Laura Wright and Asha Smith piling on 43 runs from 41 deliveries between them.
Wright smashed two fours and a six while Smith reached the rope on three occasions.
Smith was the first to go for 16 when she was trapped lbw by Jakarra Hill before Wright was caught off the bowling of Lauren Ebsary for 27.
In stepped Britt, carving out six boundaries during her impressive knock to see the Meteors home with ease.
Despite sampling seven different bowlers, the Scorpions managed only two breakthroughs which proved to be their downfall.
