The Vic Spirit registered a comprehensive six-wicket victory over the Tasmanian Roar in their WNCL Twenty20 match on Sunday.
Tasmania won the toss but failed to capitalise on batting first at Blundstone Arena, as just two players reached double figures.
Openers Emma Thompson (17) and Carly Ryan (36) registered respectable scores, but received little in the way of help from the rest of the order, as the hosts limped to a total of 7-112 from their 20 overs in Hobart.
Briana Binch led the wicket-takers for Victoria, removing Erin Burns (eight), Corinne Hall (five) and Belinda Page (four) to finish with impressive figures of 3-14 from her four overs.
She was ably assisted by Emily McIntyre (2-24), who ended Ryan's dangerous knock, and Molly Strano (1-19).
The Spirit enjoyed a relatively straightforward run chase, opener Elyse Villani anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 55 from 48 deliveries.
A third-wicket partnership of 57 between Villani and captain Emma Inglis (29) effectively sealed the result in Victoria's favour, and they reached 4-116 with three overs to spare.
Three Roar bowlers, Erin Burns (1-21), Katelyn Fryett (1-13) and Brooke Hepburn (1-32), claimed one wicket apiece, but their efforts were not enough to halt the visitors' charge to victory.
