Butterworth joins Aus squad

The Cricket Australia National Selection Panel has today advised that Luke Butterworth has replaced Ben Cutting in the Australia A squad for the last two matches of its VB Series against the England Lions in Sydney this week.

Australia A physiotherapist David Beakley said:

“Ben Cutting aggravated an existing groin injury in the match against England Lions in Hobart last Monday and has since failed to recover or improve sufficiently to participate in the remaining matches of the series.”

 “As a result he will be removed from the Australia A squad to undergo specific rehabilitation for this injury. His return to cricket will be determined by how well he progresses through this rehabilitation."

Butterworth will join the squad tonight.
