South Africa claimed a convincing 3-0 Test series win over Pakistan after claiming victory by an innings and 18 runs on Sunday.
The Proteas won the final match of the series with more than two days of play remaining in Centurion, bowling Pakistan out for 235 in their second innings.
Pakistan's paltry 156 in the first innings - triggered by debutant Kyle Abbott's sensational figures of 7-29 - was never enough in response to South Africa's score of 409.
And after being forced to follow on, they were unable to make their opponents bat again as Dale Steyn (4-80 off 23 overs) bowled his side to a comfortable victory on day three.
Resuming at 14-1, Younis Khan (11) fell early when he was the victim of a superb Steyn outswinger.
Khan edged to Smith who took a comfortable catch at first slip but after that the hosts were frustrated by a stubborn 54-run partnership between Azhar Ali (27) and Imran Farhat (43).
Both were at the crease for exactly 22 overs before a terrific piece of fielding from Steyn broke the partnership.
After completing one run, confusion reigned and a mix-up saw Steyn's superb throw end with wicketkeeper AB de Villiers, who broke the bails in time to send Ali back to the pavilion.
Farhat was the next to go, edging Abbott to de Villiers, while Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq (five) and Asad Shafiq (six) were dismissed in quick succession, both by Rory Kleinveldt (2-33 off 13).
Sarfraz Ahmed (40) and Saeed Ajmal (31) put on an entertaining 69-run partnership for the seventh wicket before Steyn – who took 20 wickets for the series – removed them both.
Ehsan Adil (12) and Rahat Ali (22) battled hard at the end but their resistance merely delayed the inevitable as South Africa wrapped up another convincing win.
With nine wickets on debut, Abbott was named the player of the match while de Villiers took player of the series honours.
De Villiers - who hit two hundreds during the series - finished with 352 runs at an average of 88.
