Pat Howard

Pat joined Cricket Australia as General Manager, Team Performance in November 2011.

A former rugby union international, Pat started his sporting career whilst studying pharmacy and playing for the University of Queensland football club.

He has won numerous awards during his career as a player and later, as a coach. In 2004 he became director of rugby at Leicester Tigers, considered the leading professional rugby club in Britain.

In 2007 he moved back to Australia to become General Manager of the High Performance Unit of Australian Rugby Union where he was responsible for the recruiting the current Wallabies management.

When the unit was abolished in Brisbane, Pat left to join Cromwell Property Group, one of Queensland’s largest listed companies. As Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the business, including HR, IT and administration.

Pat is also joint founder of a pharmacy business which now has 14 pharmacies in three states.
