John Inverarity — National Selector
John Inverarity was appointed to head up the new National Selection Panel in October 2011, following the Australian Team Performance Review.
John represented Australia in six Test matches, the first in 1968 as an opening batsman, and the last in 1972, by which time his slow left-arm bowling was being increasingly used.
After his international career came to aclose John represented Western Australia in domestic cricket. In five years as captain he won the Sheffield Shield four times.
After relocating to Adelaide for a school teaching position, he continued playing first class cricket for South Australia well into his forties.
