Recognising volunteers

Blackburn Cricket Club’s Junior Coordinator Reggie Kunst got the fright of his life when Cricket Australia teed up a meeting with Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson late last year.

We congratulate Reggie on his involvement as a volunteer in cricket and hope it is some recognition for his commitment to making Cricket – Australia’s favourite sport.

First-Time Volunteer Certificates

Through Cricket Australia's partnership with the Australian Cricket Society, we have introduced a recognition program to acknowledge first-time volunteers. The program aims to identify volunteers within clubs and Milo in2CRICKET centres who have contributed in some way, whether it is through coaching, umpiring, administration or more.

By nominating a volunteer at your club or centre they will be presented with a certificate and letter of appreciation on behalf of Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricket Society.

The Australian Cricket Society has many members who are passionate about cricket and their mission is to promote the game and spirit of cricket. For more information on the Society, please visit their website www.australiancricketsociety.com

Club administrators can nominate volunteers via their Weet-Bix MyCricket account.

50 Years Service to Cricket

Each year, Australian cricket recognises the outstanding contribution of volunteers who have provided 50 years of service to cricket. In in recognition of 50 years of service, volunteers receive a gold-plated Cricket Australia pin in a velvet case struck for each recipient and a certificate signed by Mr Wally Edwards, Chairman Cricket Australia.

Please contact your state or territory cricket association to nominate a volunteer.

Volunteer of the Year Awards

Each year one volunteer from each state and territory is chosen to represent the countless number of volunteers helping to make cricket Australia's favourite sport. The recipients will attend the Allan Border Medal awards night — a highlight of the Australian cricketing calendar.
