Victoria and Queensland do battle today in a must-win Futures League clash at St Kilda Cricket Ground.

Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) have named a host of quality players to make their return from injury, including Chris Lynn (hamstring), Luke Feldman (side) and Chris Swan (shoulder) for the clash, along with young talent including Australia U19 gloveman James Peirson and leggie Cam Boyce who spent weeks during the off season in Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile the Vics have named talented young leggie James Muirhead for a potential debut after a strong tour of India with Australia U19 in September and strong performances for his club team St Kilda and he will be joined by up-and-comers Ryan Carters, Alex Keath and Peter Handscomb.

It’s a critical game for both teams as Queensland, having played an extra match and sitting 1-1, need a victory to give them a strong position on the table while Victoria will be keen to bounce back after suffering a heavy defeat in their opening game against Tasmania.
