New South Wales have again got the better of the Queensland Fire with the Breakers posting a thrilling five-wicket win in their T20 clash at Drummoyne Oval.

The Breakers chased down the Fire's competitive total of 7-136 with just two balls to spare after sneaking home on Friday by seven runs.

New South Wales looked in serious trouble at 4-59, but Sarah Coyte got her side back in it with a quickfire 18 off just 25 balls.

However, when Jemma Barsby (2-25) removed Coyte with the score on 91 the momentum shifted once again.

But Rachael Haynes (30 not out) and Claire Koski (19 not out) then steered the Breakers home with a wide from Jude Coleman the final act in the game.

Earlier, Melissa Bulow continued her fine season with 53 from 38 balls to put the Fire in a strong position.

Lyndall Daley added 27 runs and an unbeaten 23 from Jodie Fields propelled Queensland to 7-136 from their 20 overs.

Coyte was the best of the Breakers bowlers with 2-22, while she also affected a run out in the field.

The table-topping Breakers can secure their place in the T20 final in their last round of matches against Tasmania in Hobart in early January.
