Peter Siddle claimed five wickets for the sixth time in his career to put Australia in a strong position in the first Vodafone Test against Sri Lanka in Hobart.
Resuming the day in trouble at 4-87, Sri Lanka steadied thier innings thanks to a fighting 100 from Tillakaratne Dilshan before he was clean bowled by Mitch Starc for 147. Substitute fielder Jordan Silk had a great day in the outfield, capped off with a good catch to dismiss Nuwan Kulasekara for 23 off the bowling of Nathan Lyon, but the day belonged to Peter Siddle as he took five wickets to ensure Australia had a healthy lead heading into day four.
