Toyota Memorable Moment - Johnson's Man of the Match Performance

UPDATED 19 March, 2013 4:23PM AEST | 2

Australia clinched a series win over hapless Sri Lanka in the Boxing Day Test thanks to a Man of the Match performance by all-rounder Mitchell Johnson.

Johnson's credentials as an all-rounder were boosted when the West Australian starred with the bat and ball at the MCG, scoring an impressive 92 not out against a pedestrian Sri Lankan bowling attack. A rejuvenated Johnson bowled with a fierce intensity, especially in the second innings, capturing 2-16, injuring two top order batsmen and affected a run out as the tourists were bowled out for 103.

Captain Michael Clarke also dominated the Sri Lankan bowlers, continuing to lead from the front, scoring his maiden Test century at the MCG, whilst Tasmanian debutant Jackson Bird showed he has the skills to become a world class bowler in the future.
