State signings: NSW squad named

2012/13 looks set to produce one of the most interesting state cricket contracting periods in years. Find out the latest below

Kurtis PattersonKurtis Patterson to stay with Blues - See the full NSW squad here

NSW have filled the gaps left by retirees Simon Katich, Stuart Clark and Phil Jacques and interstate movers Usman Khawaja, Phil Hughes and Nathan Hauritz with a a crop of up-and-comers. Kurtis Patterson is the brightest of the new young things, having made an extraordinary debut for NSW in 2011/12. Patterson posted a brilliant 157 against Western Australia at the SCG, becoming the youngest player to score a century on debut for NSW. Patterson also made 562 runs for St George in Sydney Grade, averaging 51.09. Patterson is joined by U19 comrades Harry Conway and Gurinder Sandhu

Victoria U19 captain and Australia U19 bat has been named in the Bushrangers  rookie list this year. It follows a promising year for Buchanan who made his debut for the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL | 01 against the Adelaide Strikers.



Ashton AgarAshton Agar to Western Australia - See the full WA squad here

Agar is one of the country’s most promising spin bowlers and was named yesterday in Australia’s squad for next month’s ICC Under 19 World Cup in Queensland, where he will be joined by Bancroft, Whiteman, Turner and Bosisto.




PomersbachLuke Pomersbach to Queensland - See the full QLD squad here

The former Western Australian has had a troubled five years, which culminated in being arrested on assault charges, that were later dropped, in India during the recent IPL. The Bulls will be hoping Lehmann's no nonsense coaching will be able to pull the powerful batter into line and revitalise his first class career. Pomersbach made a remarkable debut for Australia in T20 cricket in 2007. Called in from the carpark to replace an injured Brad Hodge he smashed a six in his 15 run innings. 



TriffittTom Triffitt to Western Australia

Western Australia have lured Tasmanian wicketkeeper Tom Triffitt across the Nullarbor ahead of the 2012/13 domestic season.

USman KhawajaUsman Khawaja to Queensland

Khawaja, who has played six Tests for Australia - the last of them against New Zealand late last year, approached the Queensland Bulls about a move north as he strives to earn a recall to the international arena.

Nathan HauritzNathan Hauritz to Queensland

Hauritz will return home to where it all began. The spinner left Queensland in 2006 in need of revitalisation after being dropped from the Queensland first XI.
