Australia had Sri Lanka all out late on the first day of the Vodafone Pink Test thanks largely to an impressive bowling effort from Jackson Bird.
It was an up and down day for the Australian team although Sri Lanka's 294 at stumps would be considered an under-par score on a good batting pitch. Mahela Jayawardene contributed with a solid 72 before Mitch Starc had him caught by Michael Clarke and Lahiru Thirimanne fell nine runs short of his first Test ton thanks to a great diving catch from Dave Warner.
But after claiming the both openers, including the dangerous Tillakaratne Dilshan, our favourite moment of the day goes to Jackson Bird, who in only his second Test match claimed the impressive figures of 4-41 off 19.4 overs including the last wicket of Suranga Lakmal.
What was your favourite moment of day one?
