UPDATED 10 October, 2013 9:31AM AEST | by Cricket Australia 2

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that Tom Cooper was reprimanded and fined for breaching the CA Code of Behaviour in the RYOBI One Day Cup match between the Tasmanian Tigers and the West End Redbacks yesterday.

Cooper was reported for breaching Article 2.1.4: Using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during a Match.

Cooper admitted the offence and accepted Match Referee Peter Marshall’s proposed sanction of an official reprimand and a fine equal to 20% of his match fee.

A Code of Behaviour hearing was not required as Cooper admitted the offence and accepted the sanction.

This was Cooper’s first offence in the past 18 months.
