Dawson reprimanded for Code breach

UPDATED 26 November, 2013 10:55AM AEST | by Cricket Australia

Cricket Australia (CA) advises that David Dawson was reprimanded for breaching the CA Code of Behaviour in the Toyota Futures League match between NSW and WA on Wednesday, 16 October 2013.

Dawson was reported by umpires for breaching CA Code of Behaviour Article 2.1.3 – Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision and Article 2.1.4 – Using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting. The two breaches resulted from the same incident.

A Code of Behaviour hearing was not required as Dawson admitted to being guilty of both offences and accepted Match Referee Terry Prue’s proposed sanctions of a warning for breach of Article 2.1.4 and a reprimand for breach of Article 2.1.3.

This was Dawson’s first offence in the past 18 months.
