"Cricket's Schwarzenegger will always be back"
To be the owner of such a massive muscular frame as Chris Tremlett is a blessing and a burden. It means he can hit high speeds with ease and the steepling bounce that he generates from six foot seven is just horrible to face. Yet the action of bowling is so unnatural that his body has found it difficult to cope. To list his injures over the years would take up the rest of the space on this website, but each time he has managed to come back and deliver useful overs and wickets for his team.
He is 32 now and after battling back from another injury he is perhaps a wildcard choice for this tour having struggled with Surrey in the summer, but his performance on the last Ashes tour was enough to convince the selectors that he is worth the gamble. No Australian batsman will relish seeing him at the top of his mark and charging in the way he did in 2010/11. He does have a battle on his hands to get into the team though.
