A talented young all-rounder from Melbourne, Alex Keath famously turned his back on an AFL contract to pursue his dream to play cricket for Australia.
Keath made his first-class debut for Victoria in 2010 and has been unable to cement his spot as he competes with fellow all-rounder Andrew McDonald.
He made his debut for the Melbourne Stars in the semi-finals of BBL|02 where he came up against a rampant Shaun Marsh of the Perth Scorchers. Marsh took 27 runs off Keath's only over and the Stars lost a nail-biter.
Still only 21, Keath has a long and bright future in cricket.
