State pair hit double-tons for respective local clubs as Morkel readies himself for Manly-Warringah debut

South Australia's Jake Lehmann headlined Saturday's Premier Cricket action around the country with a sparkling 201 not out at Campbelltown Memorial Oval in Adelaide.

Lehmann's double-ton helped his side to 4-386 declared against Port Adelaide, and was the left-hander's second for his club in recent weeks after beginning the season with 188no.

Elsewhere in Adelaide, Will Bosisto (131 for Adelaide Uni v Woodville) and Mark Cosgrove (167 for Northern Districts v Prospect) also made hundreds.

In Brisbane, young Bulls gun Nathan McSweeney blazed 18 fours and nine sixes in a stunning 204no from just 182 balls as Norths posted 2-415 declared against Redlands, while leggie Mitch Swepson took 4-44 for Sandgate-Redcliffe against South Brisbane.

In Sydney, Penrith cruised to a nine-wicket win over Hawkesbury despite being set the daunting target of 343 to win, with former Blues batsman Ryan Gibson blasting an unbeaten 186 from 185 balls and ex-Australia Under-19s record-breaker Ryan Hackney making 131no.

After making a century for Bankstown against Northern Districts last week, Sydney Thunder allrounder Nathan McAndrew (4-33) then triggered a stunning collapse as the visitors fell to 7-6 in their pursuit of 296, with six of their top seven making ducks before they recovered to be ultimately bowled out for 159.

On Sunday, T20 Premier Cricket action around the country is set to be highlighted by the appearance of Proteas legend Morne Morkel for Manly-Warringah.

The former South Africa star who now lives in Sydney with his family will pull on the T20 kit of his local Premier Cricket side as he prepares to play in the Mzansi Super League, South Africa's domestic T20 competition which kicks off in December.

Morkel is fresh off playing a full season of county cricket with London outfit Surrey and has trained with Manly this week ahead of their match against Randwick-Petersham at Coogee Oval.

The winners of NSW's two Premier T20 divisions will qualify for the National Premier Twenty20 Championships, to be held for a second time early next year after a successful inaugural tournament in Adelaide in March last summer.
