Conditions are likely to dictate whether Fawad Ahmed makes his highly-anticipated debut for Australia in Thursday's first Twenty20 international against England.

Ahmed earned selection in Australia's limited overs squad and is set to make his first appearance for his adopted homeland on this tour.
While the legspinner is odds on to play in the six one-day fixtures, captain George Bailey said Ahmed is also in contention to play in the batting-friendly T20s.
"I think depending on the wicket, if they're as dry as some of the Test match wickets, he'd be a chance and he'd be in the mix," Bailey said ahead of the two T20 games, in Southampton and Durham.
Ahmed had been mooted as a late addition in Australia's squad for the just-completed Ashes series in England after amendments to citizenship laws but he instead toured with Australia A in the UK and South Africa.
He has an opportunity to push for selection in the return Ashes series in Australia and can boost his hopes with a strong showing in the limited overs games.
Ahmed averages 31.44 in first-class cricket and 39.16 in domestic one-dayers.
He largely struggled in his Australia A matches, although he took four wickets each in four-day fixtures against South Africa A in Rustenburg and a Zimbabwe select side in Pretoria.
"For him, I think it's as much about settling in and playing cricket rather than ... the hype about where he's come from and that sort of stuff," Bailey said of the 31-year-old.
"So far the focus has been on his four-day and Test match bowling so to get him to develop his skill set for short form will be really important."
