Agar v Silk: Four of the best

Two young stars, four amazing catches - which is the pick of the bunch?

They're two of the best young fielders in Australian cricket, and in the past three seasons we've seen Ashton Agar and Jordan Silk pull off some spectacular grabs.

Here are our top four in chronological order - vote below for which one you think is the pick of the bunch.

1. Silk v Heat, Jan 2, 2014.

The great Sir Vivian Richards rated it among the greatest catches he has ever seen - and who could argue? Standing at a deep mid-on with Brett Lee steaming in, Silk instantly reacted to a punishing drive from Craig Kieswetter, throwing himself to his left and plucking the speccy to end all speccies.

2. Agar v Sixers, Dec 29, 2014.

Like Silk, Agar began at deep mid on but that's where the similarities end. A Nic Maddinson lofted drive got more hang time than the batsman would have liked and Agar raced back, covering a huge amount of ground before timing his last-ditch effort to grab the ball perfectly.

3. Silk v Thunder, Jan 22, 2015.

This time Silk was at deep midwicket when a skied shot from the Thunder's Chris Green looked to be landing in no-man's land. Silk hurtled in, refused to let a looming Sixers teammate distract him, and dove full length forward to collect the ball centimetres from the grass.

4. Agar v Strikers, Dec 21, 2015

Having entered the action only two balls earlier due to an injury to Nathan Coulter-Nile, substitute Agar announced his involvement in stunning fashion, pedalling backwards at wide long-on and leaping into the air to dismiss a bemused Brad Hodge and claim the catch of the summer to date.
