It might be more than nine months away, but the wheels for next season’s KFC T20 Big Bash League are well and truly in motion if the past fortnight is any indication.

The first trade period for BBL|05 concludes today (Friday), with plenty of clubs having been busy in the market as they look to get the jump on their rivals.

Missed all the excitement? Here’s your rundown of what’s happened:

- Former Black Caps captain and current Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming signed on as head coach with Melbourne Stars.

- Tasmania-based fast-bowling pair Ben Hilfenhaus (Hurricanes to Stars) and Jackson Bird (Stars to Sixers) are also both on the move.
