McCullum entertains in final ODI

Watch highlights of Brendon McCullum's final ODI innings, which earned him a standing ovation from Black Caps fans

Black Caps skipper Brendon McCullum's final one-day innings has been a typically belligerent one after Australia sent the home side in to bat in the series decider in Hamilton.

Scorecard: NZ v Australia, third ODI

McCullum smashed 47 off 27 balls, including nine boundaries, three of them sixes at Seddon Park on Monday.

He and fellow opener Martin Guptill put on 84 for the first wicket before he was out mis-cuing a Mitchell Marsh delivery high into the air and being caught by John Hastings.

Earlier, the 34-year-old McCullum, in his 260th ODI, was given a guard of honour by the Australian players as he went to the crease.

He began quietly, with three dot balls, before unleashing with three fours in Hastings' opening over.

When McCullum grabbed his third six of the day, flicking a Scott Boland delivery over deep square leg, he bought up his 200th ODI six, the fourth most on the all-time list.

He finished with 6083 ODI runs, with a highest score of 166 against Ireland at Aberdeen in 2008.

He shares the Test sixes record with former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist with 100, a mark he is in line to eclipse in the upcoming two-Test series against the tourists.

McCullum will end a 14-year Black Caps career, which began with a one-dayer against Australia in Sydney, after the second Test in Christchurch.
