Rogers pens county deal with Somerset
Former Australia Test opener Chris Rogers has signed a deal to play with English county side Somerset next year.
The 38-year-old, who retired from international cricket following the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval, has signed a one-year contract with the club.

It will be the left-hander’s fifth stint with a county team having previously played for Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Middlesex.

"I'm really pleased to be joining a club of the stature of Somerset. I have always enjoyed playing cricket in England and as soon as I heard that Somerset were interested I wanted to make it happen," he told the club's official website.
"There have been quite a few Australian players who have done really well down at Taunton and hopefully I can add my name to that list.
“I'm looking forward to the challenge and can't wait to get started."
Rogers departed international cricket in the form of his life, finishing the Ashes series as Australia’s second highest runs scorer with 480 runs at 60 including a knock of 173 at Lord’s.

In this 25 Tests for Australia, he scored 2015 runs at 42.87, including five centuries.
South Australian batsman Tom Cooper played for Somerset this year.
