Wedding bells and IPL for Aussie stars

Take a look at what Australia's cricketers have been up to since the summer of cricket came to an end

Australian cricketers David Warner and Shaun Marsh have taken advantage of a short break in their playing schedules by getting married to their respective partners this long weekend.

Warner and partner Candice Falzon chose the NSW country town of Berry to celebrate their nuptials on Saturday before continuing the celebrations in the beachside Sydney suburb of Coogee on Sunday night.

Warner will soon head to India to take on the captaincy of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

Marsh married his partner Rebecca at a ceremony in Perth on Thursday before they too flew out to India to play in the IPL with Kings Punjab XI.

While Warner and Marsh delayed their departure to India, several of the 24 Australians in the IPL this year left earlier this weekend for the eighth edition of the world's biggest Twenty20 competition.

It's not just the IPL that will keep the Australians busy in the winter months, with Jackson Bird and Tom Cooper two of the 16 Australians heading to the UK to take up an English county deal this year.
