England quick's transformation

Chris Tremlett's post-cricket transformation has fans around the world talking

Former England quick Chris Tremlett has undergone an incredible transformation since retiring from cricket.

Tremlett unveiled his new-look physique on social media, barely recognisable from the fast bowler who played a crucial role in England's famous 2010-11 Ashes victory on Australian soil.

The 35-year-old, who played 12 Tests for England before retiring in 2015 due to back issues, revealed he has added 20 kilos of muscle to his already imposing 200cm (6ft 7) frame.

"Just over 18 months now since retiring and as most of you know I've changed my body shape slightly," Tremlett wrote on Instagram.

"When playing cricket I had to stay lean and keep to a certain size, some will say I was still too big for cricket.

"I'm not a bodybuilder, I just enjoy the challenge and feeling of weight training and keeping fit.

"I believe you need a motivation to get you to the gym and for me, changing my body shape and getting stronger is my motivation."

It's not the first time Tremlett's physique has had people talking. He captured the attention of Wide World of Sports commentator James Brayshaw during England's most recent Ashes excursion on Australian soil.
