Melbourne Stars and former England player confirms he will join the Nine Network this summer
Pietersen joins WWOS commentary team
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has confirmed he will join the Nine Network’s Wide World of Sports commentary team for the Commonwealth Bank Test series between Australia and South Africa next month.
Pietersen tweeted on Friday night that he will work with Nine for the three-match series before he turns his attention to the KFC Big Bash League with the Melbourne Stars in December and January.

The South African-born veteran of 104 Tests joins another former Test skipper, Australian Michael Clarke, as a new face in the commentary box this summer. Both Clarke and Pietersen have had brief stints with the Wide World of Sports team in previous years.
Pietersen will also be seen regularly across cricket.com.au and the Cricket Australia Live app in coming months, sharing his unique insight into the game and looking back on his stellar career.
While the exact make-up of Nine's team for the summer is yet to be revealed, Pietersen and Clarke are expected to join regulars like Shane Warne, Mark Taylor and Ian Chappell, while Pakistan legend Waqar Younis has also been linked to the team for Pakistan's tour in December and January.
Nine has already confirmed that former Australia players Brett Lee and Mike Hussey won't be part of the commentary team this summer, but fans should expect to see plenty of ‘Mr Cricket’ on cricket.com.au and the CA Live app.
It was also announced this week that Pietersen and former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting will headline BT Sport's coverage of the Australian international summer of cricket as well at the KFC Big Bash League and the Rebel Women's Big Bash League.
The UK subscription channel acquired the Australian broadcast rights earlier this year and will show all Australian Tests, one-day internationals and T20 matches this season as well as the 2017-18 Ashes series next summer.
Joining Pietersen and Ponting on BT Sport's coverage will be former England captain Michael Vaughan and former England spinner Graeme Swann as well as broadcasters Greg James and Alison Mitchell.
