Crucially, Lynn and Maxwell's speedy chase earned their team a bonus point, moving them to second on the Quadrangular A series table with one game remaining against India A on Tuesday.

Earlier, Victoria quick Chris Tremain handed Australia A a dream start when he dismissed South Africa A captain Heino Kuhn with the second ball of the match.
