Tamim takes Tigers into Super 10s

Opener Tamim Iqbal was the star for the Tigers, making an unbeaten 103 from just 63 balls and in the process becoming the first Bangladeshi to register a T20 international hundred.

Quick Single: Hazlewood snares hat-trick in WT20 warm-up

Tamim blasted five sixes and shared a superb 97-run second-wicket stand with Sabbir Rahman (44 off 26), the pair combining to propel their team to 2-180 with the added assistance of some late hitting from Shakib Al Hasan (17no off 9).

Oman's run chase began badly, losing two wickets inside the opening three overs, and matters deteriorated further as the rain twice caused lengthy delays in play.

Quick Single: Australia succumb to warm-up defeat

As the chase was reduced to 16 overs, then 12, the only constant seemed to be the fall of wickets, Shakib (4-15) stealing the show with the ball and four others bowlers picking up a wicket each as Oman's batsmen capitulated in the face of a daunting total.

Bangladesh emerge from their qualifying group with wins over Oman and the Netherlands, and a washout against Ireland, and now face Pakistan - who they beat in the recent Asian Cup - on Wednesday in their opening match of the Super 10 phase of the tournament in Kolkata.
