Victoria rip through Redbacks, seal win

The Bushrangers' quicks did the damage to the top-order before Jon Holland mopped up an emphatic win

Victoria has bowled out South Australia for just 188 to earn a 124-run win at Adelaide Oval inside three days, strengthening their hold on top spot on the Sheffield Shield ladder.

The Vics' four frontline bowlers tore through the SA battling line-up in a session and a half, with the home side dismissed off just 42.2 overs.

Chasing 313 for victory, the second-placed Redbacks were immediately on the back foot and were reduced to 3-15, and then 4-37.

There was little resistance from the home side with only captain Travis Head, wicketkeeper Alex Carey and tailender Kane Richardson offering resistance.

Richardson was particularly entertaining in his knock of 41 off just 27 deliveries.
