A left-arm fast bowler, 18-year-old O'Donnell says he's looking forward to learning from some of the global superstars on the Renegades roster which includes West Indies pair Chirs Gayle and Dwayne Bravo, and Australia T20 captain Aaron Finch.

"I was extremely grateful to get the opportunity, it's a great chance to learn from the best of the best and absorb as many tips and tricks as I possibly can to try and improve my cricket,” O’Donnell said.

"To be able to watch the best cricketers in the country play at full throttle is extremely exciting. The crowds are so engaged in their respective teams and wear the colours with pride and there’s nothing better than that."

"This is kind of a dream coming into reality as I get to be around some of the best players in the world like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Cameron White, Aaron Finch, James Pattinson and Peter Siddle to name a few," Seneviratne said.

"I don’t think excitement levels could get any higher to be honest."

The Renegades travel to Brisbane for their first match of BBL|05 on December 19.
