Injured Australia captain sharing his live views on the second Commonwealth Bank Test

Injured Australia skipper Michael Clarke has taken to Twitter to provide updates on his condition post-surgery, and share his views on the day one happenings of the second Commonwealth Bank Test at the Gabba.

Clarke had an operation on his injured hamstring on Tuesday in Melbourne, after being ruled out of the remainder of the series against India.

He had courageously played in the opening Test to honour the memory of Phillip Hughes, and made a famous century in the match eventually won in thrilling circumstances by Australia with Clarke off the field after sustaining the hamstring tear.

Today, Clarke has predicted the nature of the injury sustained by allrounder Mitch Marsh, who went off in the second session, and complimented acting Australia skipper Steve Smith.

He also tweeted Shane Warne in the Channel Nine commentary box after the legendary leggie told viewers Clarke's surgery had gone as well as it possibly could have.

And while he often avoids controversy when addressing the media at conferences, Clarke also offered up a personal view on the Cheteshwar Pujara dismissal which gave Baggy Green debutant, Josh Hazlewood, his first Test wicket.
