Clarke's revealing Twitter session

Test skipper takes to social media for an impromptu Q&A

Fresh from a final training session ahead of tonight’s first Test against the West Indies in Dominica, Australia captain Michael Clarke has provided fans with a rare insight into his decorated career via social media.

Clarke, 34, has played with and against an array of legends over more than a decade on the international scene, and where others may have been nervously focusing on this evening's action, the skipper generously spent time answering fans' questions on Twitter, providing some interesting responses in the process.

The No.4 batsman named the top five players he had played with or against - nominating former teammates Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath alongside opponents Sachin Tendulkar and Jacques Kallis.

He ranked West Indian legend Brian Lara as his all-time favourite cricketer.

In a high-qaulity field, Clarke selected England allrounder Andrew Flintoff as the best bowler he had faced, while Muthiah Muralidaran earned the nod as the best spinner he has played against.

Clarke also named his two favourite players to bat with - former teammates Mike Hussey and Andrew Symonds.

When it came to current events, the skipper did not give any hints as to whether Adam Voges or Fawad Ahmed would make their Test debuts in Dominica.

But he did have some entertaining responses when asked for his thoughts on Brett Lee and the best way to handle an injury.

He pondered one of life's more difficult decisions: "would you rather be attacked by 10 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?"

Clarke’s teammates even joined in the fun.
