Stars up for awards in Sydney

The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars will be hoping to cap off a successful 12-month period when the winners of the I Support Women in Sport Awards are announced in Sydney tonight.

The team, who is currently ranked number one in the world in all three formats, and a number of players have been nominated across various categories on the back of their victories in the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 and the ICC Women’s World Cup.

Launched in 2011, the I Support Women in Sport campaign, which is driven by Australian Women’s Health magazine, is the most significant female sports awareness campaign in Australian history and celebrates female athletes from all fields. 

The campaign seeks to support Australian sportswomen from the grassroots level to our next generation of female global sport stars.

The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars team and players are nominated in the following categories:
