Ever wanted to experience what the Australian captain sees at the crease? Here's your chance

Australian cricket fans can see some of the game's biggest names showcase their skills in a different dimension, thanks to an exclusive behind-the-scenes 360-degree video featuring captains Steve Smith and Meg Lanning. 

The video, which also features Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch and Ellyse Perry, sees the players unveil a series of trick shots captured from every angle in a unique 3D experience, with specially-designed helmet cameras filming through the eyes of the players.

As part of its new three-year partnership with Cricket Australia, Optus customers will be able to get closer to the action than ever before. 

Viewers can control the vision on their mobile by tapping and dragging to get the full circle view, or with the YouTube app on an Android device, by simply moving their phone to pan.

Paul Rybicki, Optus’ Head of TV, Mobile Video and Content, says the 360-degree video is just a taste of the hours of on-demand unique cricket content available to Optus customers this summer. 

"We’re excited to see customer reactions to this unique piece of content as they experience just the tip of what’s about to come their way through our partnership with Cricket Australia," he said.

With a CA Live Pass on cricket.com.au or the CA Live App, Optus customers can access the best cricket action this summer on their  smartphone or tablet devices, powered by Optus’ superfast 4G Plus network. 

Customers can also enjoy the CA Live Pass via a mobile broadband or home broadband service. Eligible Optus customers on Optus’ latest mobile plans will also be able to stream live matches on the CA Live Pass, data free.
