Windies name squad for Australia Test series

Impressive duo from Antigua tour match added to squad for next week's first Test in Dominica

Two cricketers who impressed against Australian during a drawn tour match in Antigua have been called up to the West Indies squad for the coming Test series.

Opening batsman Rajindra Chandrika and wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Dowrich joined a final 14-man squad for the two-Test series, named by Windies selectors on Saturday.

Chandrika made a first-innings half-century in the three-day match between the Australians and a WICB President's XI.

The 32-year-old, yet to play an international match in any form of the game, was dismissed for a first-ball duck by Josh Hazlewood in the second innings.

Dowrich was also impressive, the 23-year-old from Barbados top-scoring with 78 in the hosts' first innings of 382 before making an unbeaten 53 in the second dig.
