After battling with Tegan McPharlin for most of last season, Alicia Dean will be hoping selectors hand her the keeping gloves when the domestic season commences.
The incumbent has a strong record behind the stumps, boasting 35 dismissals in T20’s and a further 66 in limited overs.
Dean went past the 500 run tally in the final game of 2012/13 in what was one of her better seasons.
The left-handed batsman started slowly, but scores of 43* and 24 against Queensland and the ACT got her season going.
Dean finished the year with double-figure contributions in her final four matches, including 31 against Tasmania.
She also managed four stumpings and two catches in the last two games to cap off a highly polished campaign.
