After a slow start to his international career Amit Mishra has been making more regular appearances for India in recent years.

His one-day international debut came in 2003 when he played three matches, but the orthodox leg-spinner was forced to wait until 2008 when his patience and hard work was rewarded in the form of his Test debut.

Mishra returned to the India ODI side in 2009 and put in some solid performances since, including a six-wicket haul against Zimbabwe in mid-2013. 

The 32-year-old has been a consistent performer in the Indian Premier League. His best season for Sunrisers Hyderabad came in 2013 when he picked up 21 wickets in 17 matches.
