An allrounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium, Amjad Javed donned the coloured clothes for United Arab Emirates in a one-day international for the first time in 2008.
His debut was against Bangladesh at Gaddafi Stadium during the Asia Cup, where he scored 10 runs.
One of Javed’s top performances came in a qualifying match ahead of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he hit a blistering 164 from 117 balls.
His record of good knocks in Cup qualifiers continued against Kenya in early 2014, when he smacked a 31-ball 63, helping UAE achieve their first World Cup appearance since 1996.
