Ashton Agar is a tall left arm finger spinner that was outstanding in National Championships for Victoria in his junior years.
He debuted in Australian colours for the U19 squad in April 2011 against West Indies in Dubai.
He was selceted for the side in the U19 quad series held in Townsville in April 2012, where he took three wickets against India.
Agar will represent Australia at the U19 World Cup in August 2012.
Agar made his first-class debut for Western Australia during the 2012/13 Bupa Sheffield Shield season where he made valuable contributions with both the bat and ball. He finished the season with 19 wickets from five matches and 229 runs at an average of 32.71.
He was a member of the side that took part in Tour matches on the VB Tour of India in 2013.
Agar was then selected in the Australia 'A' squad for the Tour of the British Isles.
Agar is a natural athlete who has good natural skills in the field and with the bat.
A laconic character who has a great temperament for spin bowling and looks to have a great career ahead of him.
