Bio

From gritty middle-order batsman to T20 gun for hire, Ben Rohrer has had to adapt his playing style to fit into the ever-changing demands of modern cricket.

His first-class debut in early 2007 was one he won’t forget in a hurry.

NSW were rolled for 53 in the first innings before they dug in second time around, with the debutant smashing a memorable 163.

Rohrer has scored several first-class hundreds for the Blues since, but it has been in T20 cricket that he has really shone.

He was man-of-the-match in NSW’s victory in the Big Bash final in 2009 and also played a key role in their successful Champions League campaign later that year.

Rohrer then moved to Melbourne Renegades where he averaged almost 50 at a strike-rate of 152.06 in BBL|02.

His T20 exploits have been noticed overseas as well, earning him contracts with Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League and Antigua Hawksbills in the Caribbean Premier League.
