The all-rounder, who has twice been nominated for ICC Cricketer of the Year, is the first South African female to take a hat trick, and she also scored a domestic double century two seasons ago.

Van Niekerk has represented her country in 50 one-day internationals and 47 T20s after making her debut as a 15-year-old at the 2009 World Cup.

She is an attacking top order player, currently opening the batting in the T20 format, and a very effective leg spinner, having captured 115 international wickets.
