Excellent domestic form saw Grant Elliot force his way back into the Black Caps one-day international team after more than a year’s absence.
The allrounder, who played his last ODI in November 2013 prior to being named in the 2015 World Cup squad, made his debut in 2008.
In more than 50 ODIs since, Elliot has scored more than 1000 runs, including one century, and taken 20 wickets.
He also played five Tests for the Black Caps between 2008 and 2009.
This will be his first World Cup appearance.
