Profile

At just 17 years of age, Holly Ferling has already played for the Shooting Stars and is now in line to make her debut for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars.

Ferling first arrived on the scene when she took a hat-trick as a 14-year old with her first three balls in a men’s A-Grade cricket match in Kingaroy. It was this effort that saw her placed on Queensland Fire’s rookie list.

At the National Under-18 Championships Ferling took eight wickets at an average of 11.63. This performance saw her become the first female cricketer to win the Ken Mackay Trophy for the Queensland Cricketer of the Year.

Ferling was rewarded with a place in the Shooting Stars side in March 2012 and she has been in the minds of national selectors ever since.
