Bio

The younger brother of former NSW and Sydney Thunder spinner Luke, Jake Doran made history in the summer of 2013-14 when he broke Doug Walters's record as the youngest player ever to represent the New South Wales Second XI, debuting at the age of 16.

He was also given a taste of senior international cricket that summer when he played for a Cricket Australia Chairman's XI against England and then again the following season in a T20 match against South Africa in Sydney.

Australia's top scorer at the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, Doran was handed a NSW rookie contract for the 2014-15 season and also signed with Sydney Thunder, making him the youngest player to ink a KFC T20 Big Bash League contract.

He then moved to Tasmania the following season in search of more opportunity, citing NSW enviable batting stocks as the reason behind his decision.
