New Zealand’s powerhouse Jesse Ryder will join the Melbourne Renegades for BBL|04.
After taking a hiatus from the game for personal reasons, Ryder worked on his fitness and his mentality before beginning the comeback trail before a substance ban was enforced prolonging his time out of cricket.
Since returning to domestic competitions, Ryder is back to his big-hitting best and with a Twenty20 average of 26.8 and a strike rate of 147 it is hard to doubt his ability. Ryder is also handy with the ball with best figures of 5/27 in Twenty20s.
Coming off seasons in England and New Zealand, expect the all-rounder to be fit and firing.
