Bio

Opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite made his first class debut aged just 16 and made an immediate impression, scoring 73 for Barbados.

He received his first call up to the West Indies Test squad in 2009, but did not make his international debut until 2011, against Pakistan at Basseterre.

He represented his country at the 2010 under-19 World Cup, where he was the West Indies’ leading run scorer.

Brathwaite scored a duck in each of his first three Tests but after first 20 matches he had reaped 1325 runs at 36.80, including one double ton, three centuries and six fifties.

Against England in April 2015, he scored 116 in the second Test.
