Another one of United Arab Emirates’ newcomers, Krishna Chandran broke into the one-day international team in May 2014 when he was selected for a match against Afghanistan.
That match was part of the Asian Cricket Council Premier League held in Malaysia and the tour gifted Chandran his first overseas tour.
The allrounder’s selection followed impressive performances in the domestic circuit.
He played two matches in Kuala Lumpur, before being named in the squad for November’s ODI series against Afghanistan. Chandran played all four matches during that series, finishing with a high score of 43.
Chandran’s best figures with the ball also came during that series when he snared 3-45 from nine overs.
Born in the Indian state of Kerala, Chandran relocated to the UAE with aspirations of playing for the national team.
