Lauren Ebsary holds the key for the Scorpions in 2013/14. After a few years in the west, the talented batsman returned home last season [LW1] with stunning results.
The 30-year-old plundered an unbeaten 111, before smashing a sublime 74 against NSW during the WNCL.
Ebsary then continued her hot streak with Wellington, where she produced scores of 58*, 43, 40* and 39.
Having debuted back in 2000/01, Ebsary has been a consistent performer at state level with both the bat and ball.
However, it has been her efforts on the international stage that set her apart from most of her teammates.
On debut, Ebsary took a wicket, produced a run out and held on to two catches in an ODI against India.
After adding handy scores of 32 and 30, she exploded into form with 86 against the Kiwis in Hamilton.
Another half-century, this time against Pakistan, was sandwiched between knocks of 40, 39* and 38.
Her T20 career has been solid, with Ebsary striking at just under 110.
In her sole Test appearance, Ebsary made scores of 21 and 3 against England in their Worcester match-up.
South Australian fans know how important Ebsary is to their cause. The ever-reliable batsman just needs a few teammates to support her.
