Megan Schutt is part of the dominant Australian pace attack that has taken the world by storm. The 20 year old exploded onto the scene with her efforts at the 2013 Women’s World Cup.
Schutt has been a part of the Scorpions’ main squad since 2009, and boasts best figures of 4/22.
While she has performed consistently at state level, it is her efforts on the international stage that have everyone talking.
Schutt has picked up wickets in all but two of her 12 ODI’s, highlighted by a tournament topping 15 scalps at the World Cup.
The swing bowler started the tournament with six wickets in three games in Cuttack, including a career best 3/40 against New Zealand.
She enjoyed even more success in Mumbai, taking 2/37 against England, 2/34 against Sri Lanka, 3/50 against the West Indies, before picking up another two victims in the final.
Schutt picked up three wickets in the three game T20 series played against NZ earlier this year.
She also opened the bowling on her Test debut, and picked up the wicket of Laura Marsh.
Known for her prodigious swing, Schutt is likely to enjoy even more success when the English tour later in 2013.
