Bio

A solid performer for India in Test cricket, Murali Vijay has not made quite the same impression on the one-day cricket circuit.

With 14 appearances in the coloured clothes between his debut in early 2010 and mid-2013, the opening batsman has failed to notch a score above 33 in ODIs.

But his talent is undeniable and his greatest success has come in the long-form where Vijay has an average in the high 30s and a high-score of 167 to his name.

When Vijay is on song, his clean batting and strong technique are a joy to watch.
